EdTech Quality Assurance and Instructional Coaching
Drawing on a global perspective in digital education, I served as an Academic Coach and Quality Assurance Specialist for Third Space Global—the offshore arm of a prominent UK-based EdTech firm, Third Space Learning. In this role, I was responsible for performance coaching and pedagogical quality assurance for a cohort of 40 to 45 online mathematics tutors who delivered virtual instruction to elementary and middle school students across the UK.
I spearheaded systematic, data-driven session evaluations to ensure strict adherence to curriculum standards and student-centered teaching frameworks. Furthermore, I designed specialized training modules and video guides focused on virtual student engagement, language clarity, and techniques for supporting neurodivergent learners, ensuring an equitable learning experience for all students.
Higher Education Program Coordination and Student Success
During my tenure as an Academic Staff Member and Program Coordinator at the Colombo Institute of Research and Psychology (CIRP)—which was previously partnered with the University of Northampton, UK—I directed a wide array of administrative operations, curriculum design initiatives, and faculty workflows.
As the Instructor of Record for Introductory Statistics and General Sciences, I developed comprehensive online curricula that ensured seamless instructional continuity during remote learning periods. By pioneering evidence-based active learning initiatives that were novel to the regional higher education landscape, I achieved significant student success metrics. This included leading cohorts to final exam pass rates of up to 91%, which far exceeded institutional benchmarks. Additionally, I provided specialized methodological guidance for undergraduate dissertations and served as a foundational member in developing the university’s Academic Success Center to bolster student retention.
